The beach is gently sloping, making it the best place for small children to play in the shallow water without having to cross a road. Dogs are welcome guests and of course stay for free. Part of the nearby beach is currently open to dogs all year round. In summer, walk barefoot through the fine sand, dive into the waves or simply forget everyday life in a beach chair. On the beach, the path continues around the harbour directly to Timmendorfer Strand, which invites you to look around and shop or watch the "scene" or those who think they are (Café Wichtig). There is something for everyone here. Heading east, you can reach Travemünde directly via the Brodtener Ufer cliffs and Hermannshöhe with a wonderful view over the Bay of Lübeck.
