Located on the edge of a charming Provençal village in the pine forests of the Vaucluse, Villa Sylvie is a traditional French cottage with contemporary interiors, a private pool and gorgeous Mediterranean gardens. A small entrance hall leads to the open-plan living room with doors looking out towards the terrace and pool, and the adjacent kitchen features modern appliances and a dining area. The three ensuite bedrooms are all located on the ground floor – one of which has a private terrace for peaceful moments.

Outside, the pergola-covered terrace is one of the best spots to gaze at the forest backdrop and enjoy complete privacy from the outside world amidst the pine trees. Bask in the sun on the decked poolside terrace, take a dip in the large pool (which can be heated during cooler months) and savour long sociable meals alfresco as the sun sets. We recommend a stroll to the local village with its old stone fountains, pretty shops and lovely restaurants, as well as exploring the forests of the Vaucluse. This small region in south-east France is often described as the heart of Provence and boasts idyllic hilltop villages, colourful market towns and bright lavender fields that have inspired many famous artists over the years.
