Villa Agatha is a historic retreat where the mystique of the Etruscans converges with centuries of sacred legend and organic farming tradition.
This fully restored 16th-century farmhouse offers a magical atmosphere, surrounded by 250 hectares of privately cultivated land, vineyards, and ancient olive groves.
The villa's history is steeped in the local legend of the young girl Agatha and the miraculous appearance of the Virgin Mary, which led to the construction of the nearby Shrine of the Madonna degli Ulivi in 1551.
The ancient, blessed olive tree is enclosed within the Shrine, and water from the underlying spring is still revered today.
Acquired by the Corneli family in 1700, the estate has been lovingly cultivated for generations, adhering to strict organic farming principles and producing fine wines, oils, and foodstuffs in its certified laboratory.
The 2013 renovation preserved the villa’s authenticity, showcasing exposed-stone façades, wooden-beamed ceilings, and original terracotta floors manufactured in the farm’s old furnace.
