The Italian Song Festival, the Tenco Prize, the Giraglia, the Milano-Sanremo, the Casino: everything happens in Sanremo. But Sanremo is first of all one of the best-known tourist resorts on the Riviera dei Fiori. Via Matteotti known as "La Vasca" is very famous: it is the long pedestrian street that houses the Ariston Theater, the main and most chic street of Sanremo, the one where high-level international shopping is concentrated. A few steps away in Corso degli Inglesi are the Municipal Casino and the late 19th century Russian Church.

La Pigna, the primitive nucleus of the city, still alive and pulsating, is a labyrinth of caruggi (alleyways) and houses. The Sanremo villas and gardens deserve a special mention: Villa Ormond with its park full of exotic plants; Villa Nobel, where Alfred Nobel lived, which today houses the museum on discoveries and inventions of the nineteenth century and Villa Zirio (home of the Symphony Orchestra, one of the oldest Italian musical foundations).

For those who love cycling with a view of the sea, the Ponente Ligure cycle path offers breathtaking scenery. An oasis suspended between green and blue, between maritime pines and beaches, along the coast for 24 km. It is passable on foot, by bicycle, roller skates and skateboards. It is suitable for families with children, with refreshment points and bike rental. Enjoyable all year round, it is also equipped with wi-fi. The Circolo Golf degli Ulivi is the oldest and most prestigious sports institution in the city, an 18-hole course among the most loved in Liguria. Portosole is the tourist port of the city, with over 900 berths.
