Just a 15-minute walk away is the upper main road with bars, shops, restaurants and the bus stop to Cirkewwa Quay; the departure point for boats to Gozo and Comino. The holiday apartment is also just 15 minutes from Selmun Palace, where you can enjoy hiking and explore the Punic tombs.

To enjoy the Mediterranean waters, a small pebble beach is 10 minutes walk away and the largest beach in Malta, Ghadira Bay is a quick 6-minute drive away. Ghadira is also suitable for families with little children and offers parasols, sunbeds and other beach amenities for rent. Malta’s famous Popeye Village is a 10-minute drive and offers a theme park as well as a uniquely picturesque location, making it perfect for all ages.

For nature lovers and bird-watching enthusiasts, Malta’s Bird Park is also close by. The nearest international airport and the stunning capital of Malta, Valletta, both are about a 35-minute drive from the holiday home in Mellieha.
