You will find Fattoria Pogni located in the heart of Chianti between Florence and Siena, just outside the hamlet of Marcialla divided between the municipalities of Certaldo and Barberino Val d'Elsa. The historic nucleus of the small hamlet dates back to the 14th century, perched on the hillsides at about 400 metres above sea level and surrounded by stone walls. It can only be reached by a dirt road that incorporates it even further into the Chianti countryside.
You will find yourself catapulted into what is commonly called 'the heart of Tuscany': a succession of beautiful landscapes marked by dense vineyards, chestnut, oak and holm-oak woods, picturesque medieval villages, romantic castles and charming farmhouses.
The farm consists of a large farmhouse divided into 4 apartments, a barn divided into 2 apartments and the independent house Villa Gelsomino, as well as a manor house inhabited by the owner's family. Another building houses the wine-making cellar and the old cellars used, today as in the past, for the ageing of the wine produced on the farm, which you can taste and purchase. In addition, excellent extra virgin olive oil is also produced on the farm.
In the outdoor areas, dominated by meadows and olive groves, you will have a five-a-side football pitch, a tennis court, a trampoline net and a large swimming pool with salt purification system and beach entrance (size 20x8 m, depth 1.20-1.80 m) and a splendid view of the valley and surrounding hills. Each apartment has a private outdoor area furnished with table and chairs where you can eat outside and enjoy unforgettable sunsets over the Chianti hills. Silence and peace are a characteristic feature of the livability of this ancient, small and lonely hamlet; you will live in the midst of history and immersed in one of the most beautiful Chianti valleys.
The apartments have been restored preserving all the original features: exposed stone walls, chestnut-beam and bricks ceilings and Florentine terracotta floors. The level of comfort you will find is very high. Each apartment has air conditioning, heating, LCD TV with satellite connection and SKY programmes, telephone, safe, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, mosquito nets and Internet access. The original Tuscan antique furniture will ensure that a warm atmosphere welcomes you from the moment you arrive.
Fattoria Pogni is equipped with solar and photovoltaic panels that make it 100% eco-friendly and energy self-sufficient; only renewable energy is used for both the agritourism and agricultural activities.

Apartment in the barn with independent entrance disposed on two levels. On the ground floor living-dining room with kitchenette fireplace and double sofa bed and bathroom with shower. A beautiful wrought-iron staircase with crystal steps leads to the intermediate floor with the double bed, a unique piece made of briar-root.
