Just a few minutes' drive away is the typical southern Italian town of Cisternino, which has an atmosphere all of its own. The pretty little town is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy; whitewashed houses on the crest of a hill, surrounded by lush vegetation and numerous trulli. Cisternino is situated between the other beautiful towns of Ostuni and Fasano. The Itria Valley is rich in vineyards and centuries-old olive groves and is often referred to as the "California of Apulia". This area of Puglia, steeped in history, is also known for its "slow food movement". Local producers are promoted according to the so-called "zero kilometre principle". The result is fresh produce with a first-class reputation. Full-bodied wine and delicious olive oil, an abundance of fresh vegetables and fish, pasta made from roasted durum wheat and many types of cheese.

The lovingly restored trulli, two in number, are furnished as a private villa for exclusive rental for up to 14 people. Situated on a slight hill in the typical natural landscape of the Itria Valley, it is the ideal place to enjoy the peace and quiet, the flavours of this fascinating region and the simple elegance of the trulli rooms. A highlight is the outdoor swimming pool set in hollowed-out rocks. The outdoor area also features tasteful garden furniture made of local stone, which has been transformed into particularly beautiful outdoor lounges.
