Nearby there are restaurants, pizzerias, discos, fishmongers, supermarkets, shops, rubber dinghy rentals and car rentals. It is possible to make excursions to Mount Etna and visit the volcano's crater; there is a cable car to the summit. Taormina and Acireale can be reached in fifteen minutes, the Alcantara Gorges in twenty minutes and Randazzo and the Riviera dei Ciclopi in about 30 minutes. Syracuse, Caltagirone and Agrigento are about 60 minutes away.
