Hyeres is a beautiful little town located in the south of Provence. The city is located in an enchanting landscape, with the Mediterranean Sea with great opportunities for diving. There is a Mediterranean climate and on the 100 km long coastline it alternates between sandy beaches, cliffs and small bays

History:

Presumably, people lived in the Hyeres area in ancient times. in the year 963 the town was called Eyras. After a castle was built in the 9th century, a development followed fairly quickly, where, among other things. was built the city gate Barruc and the church of Saint Paul. The name of the city of palm trees, the city got in the 19th century, when many gardeners planted palm trees and other plants. Later, the city developed into the tourist magnet it is today with large villas, hotels and holiday homes

There are sights in the city you almost follow the historical line, in Olbia there are remains from the 4th century BC. From the 11th century there are remains from the old fortifications. From the same time period, the church of Saint Paul is also seen.
Then we reach the 19th century, from that time you can visit the architecturally beautiful villa Noailles. It is also from the time the big hotels were built. Those buildings fit nicely into today's Hyeres.

Hyeres and the surrounding area is an eldorado for nature lovers. The nature park in Port Cros, it is a nature reserve with birds and swamp area with 250 bird species. There are several parks in the area one more beautiful than the other, places that invite for hiking trips
