Vacation in North Dalmatia
Northern Dalmatia in Croatia is a favorite tourist destination. The area offers many attractions : Zadar, which is the historic center with Museums, churches, beautiful doors and piazza. Just south of Zadar lies the coastal town of Sibenik, where there are beautiful buildings, fortress and churches. In this part of Dalmatia is also the 142 km2 national park Kirka set up to protect the river Kirka that runs out in Sibenik bay. The park has a rich variety of birdlife. In Zadar archipelago is about. 300 islands surrounded by crystal clear sea. On the larger islands there are olive groves and vineyards. Only 20 islands are inhabited and the residents live off farming and fishing
