Holiday in Argegno

Argegno are on the west side of Lake Como. It is well sheltered in the large bay at Teloriver. There is a fantastic view of the city, to the north, on the other side of the lake,to the city Bellagio and to the south Nesso. The city Argegno is a cozy medieval old town with narrow streets and narrow streets. The beautiful old buildings decorated with flower boxes with geraniums and other plants in many colors. On the town square is cozy cafes, bars and restaurants. The Sanctuary of Sant Anna is from the 17th century, inside the church walls adorned with frescoes from the 17th and 18 century. Right near the San Rocco in Pigra, built in the 15th century, there are frescoes from 1662.If you want a magnificent view of the lake and the countryside you can take a cable car up to pigra (881 meters). You can go to Valle della Camoggia, an oasis in Argegno della Duaria which are protected. Argegno are a small town (700 inhabitants), but there is a special atmosphere and it´s a good starting point for excursions to other attractions at the lake.
