The town of Vela Luka is the island of Korcula, the largest city on the island's western coast. Vela Luka offers many historical attractions. There is a rich selection of sports and leisure activities. In the many small bays there are really nice beaches. There is a Mediterranean climate and the city lies in the shelter of the Spilinski and Humic mountains, where also part of the city lies.
Sights: The cave Vela Play is known for its historical findings, dating back 20,000 years, showing the first people's lives in the late Stone Age.
Cultural center: Located in the middle of the city. Here you will find a large art collection donated by artists from all over Europe. There is also a large archaeological collection with findings showing the city's past time.
Church St. Joseph: The Classical Church was completed in 1948, the church is decorated with the dreams of the artist Anka Prizmic. The church is the center of Catholic festivals and ceremonies.
Entertainment and leisure: water sports, scuba diving and snorkeling, boat rental. Mooring for sailors, fishing, hiking, trekking, cycle routes. The festive day for the guardian angel will be held on March 19th. There are restaurants, cafes and bars
