San Tommaso is a beautiful country home set in a secluded and panoramic position on the hills north-west of Lucca. The breathtaking views can be fully enjoyed from the terrace in front of the house, where there is a dining table for al fresco meals, as well as from the newly built swimming pool. The property takes its name from the adjacent Romanic church that is in use just once per year to celebrate the patron saint.

The house has been recently totally restored with great attention to details .The owners have been successfully renting out another property for years and they are very familiar with clients' needs. Hence, they have furnished San Tommaso with all the needed comforts, including modern private bathrooms for each bedroom, wifi connection, a large American fridge and smart televisions. Heating is available on the first floor and the ground floor during the periods allowed by Italian law.

The layout of the house is perfect for groups of friends looking to spend time together while retaining their privacy. On the ground floor there is an unusually big master bedroom with a large sitting area and ensuite bathroom.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms: one with a large bathroom with bathtub and shower and another with a private bathroom with shower. On the second floor there is a double with an en-suite bathroom and 2 double bedrooms sharing a bathroom.

Despite being located on top of a hill in a very secluded and quiet position, San Tommaso is only a 10 minute-drive from a village. Here guests can find a supermarket, a bar, a newspaper agent (with international magazines), an ATM, a fruit and vegetable shop and a couple of simple restaurants. The beautiful city of Lucca is 13 Km from the house (approx. a 25-minute drive) while the renowned beaches of the Versilia coast and the nearest motorway exit are both at approx. 30 minutes’ drive thus San Tommaso is set in an ideal position for those looking to relax in the Tuscan countryside while being able to easily explore this part of the Tuscan region.

The caretaker of San Tommaso lives on the rear of the building and is available to support clients during their vacation. She has separate access and in no way interferes with the client's privacy. Cooking services can be organised

Arrival time is on Saturday between 4 pm and 7 pm (after 8 pm a fee of € 50 is required and after 10 pm the fee is € 100. Any late arrival has to be agreed in advance).

TOURIST TAX
Tourist tax is applied in most Italian municipalities. This tax is by law to be fully paid by the holidaymakers. The amount varies from municipality to municipality and it must be paid upon arrival directly to the caretaker /owner. Unfortunately, the amount may be subject to change even after the booking is confirmed.
