Agriturismo Il Pratone is located a short distance from the historic centre of Castiglione d'Orcia in a splendid panoramic position with a wide view of the Orcia river valley.

The farmhouse consists of a ground floor flat of about 100 square metres, divided as follows: -a kitchen -living room with fireplace, satellite TV, stereo system, gas cooker, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, kettle and American coffee machine and a sofa bed for two people -two double bedrooms, one of which can be converted into two separate beds -a bathroom with shower and bidet -a hallway There is also a basement floor divided as follows: -a room used as a laundry room -a room for the reception and storage of bicycles -cellar

There is also a typical Val d'Orcia farmhouse, renovated with materials typical of the area, consisting of a large kitchen-living room with fireplace, two bedrooms with bathroom and hallway. The interiors are furnished with style and period furniture (Tuscan arte povera). The heating system is by radiator.

The farmhouse where guests are staying is surrounded by an olive grove and borders on a tall oak forest. The secluded position and the environmental richness of this corner of the Val d'Orcia make the farmhouse ideal for relaxing stays in close contact with nature. The small family-run farm occupies an area of five hectares: three hectares are occupied by an olive grove. The farm has obtained organic certification for its products.

The flat on the ground floor is furnished with Tuscan arte povera furniture. The total number of beds is 4+2 (four in the two bedrooms, two in the living room where there is a sofa bed). Outside there is a veranda and a masonry and portable barbecue. In the garden of the farmhouse there is a 6 x 12 metre swimming pool. The property is entirely surrounded by the countryside of Castiglione d'Orcia. Guests of the farmhouse can make use of garden furniture and tables for outdoor dining.
