The city of Cagliari has 156,000 inhabitants and is surrounded by sea, and a rock formation (Sella del Diavoli) where you can go hiking and biking. High on a limestone is the 13th century Zitadellet with castle walls and towers.

In the old town there are the following places to visit: Bastion Saint Remy with the large view terrace, the Torre di San Pancratio with the city tower, the highest point in the city and the Roman theater, and also visit the botanical garden.

Mercato San Benedetto: A large market hall with 250 stalls selling fruit and vegetables, various cheeses, bread and other pastries, butchers offering horse meat, poultry and beef and much more.
In the basement, fish are sold in all shades. It is open Monday-Saturday 7.00-14.00

Poetto di Cagliari: the sandy beach near the town, that the locals make use of, there is life and activity and beach bars

Poetto di Quartu: Located in the north, close to Sella del Diavolo, this beach has so clean bathing waters that the beach often gets the blue flag.
